Project Outline
This was a self directed project and the goal was to create a set of album covers for an indie pop/rock band that work on their own as well as form a triptych when placed beside each other.
Software Used: InDesign | Photoshop | Procreate
Initial Ideas
The plan was to use photography and illustration as well as have a large focus on colour to communicate the themes of the albums: love, happiness and sadness.
Design Exploration
As indie bands have no record label and therefore more creative freedom, the illustrations and stylized type add a sense of creativity and originality.
Solution
The final designs show a girl ripping through black and white images which represent the feelings associated with the memories. The covers visualize the story that the songs tell.
